You can sew the two front piece together before you sew the zipper or after. I think I sewn it before in this one.

Next you stitch the side seams. Test and adapt the fit. And the last step is the waistband:

Geri, very interesting this post. Also I like jeans trousers close by the seam between the legs, in this way are more "professional". Congratulations, it is very nice contrast of green thread above the gray. A hug, Paco
