The Silver Tunic

First I must confess that I went back to the store and both some more of this fabric. At 1.99 euro per meter it is a bargain and I loved working with it. I already have an idea for the dress...
I finished the tunic and I am not quite sure... It is definitely comfy and a good choice when there is a lot of food involved. I mean it has the pregnant look anyway...
First the inside:

The sleeves slit:

I actually decided to leave the pleat open. But made some side views for you. Mostly it is okay from the side, but since the fabric is a bit stiff, it happens that sometimes the bulge at the belly area doesn't look quite flattering (doesn't happen with the silk version). The images - closed pleat front, closed pleat side, open pleat side in a weird moment of probably wrong movement.

Anyway I actually like the dress and most of the time it behaves OKish. The other thing that is maybe pattern related is that the curve at the front panel folds weirdly when you do certain movements. I guess it is a no-wrong-movements dress...

I like this a lot. I can see why you purchased more of that fabric because it's fabulous.

The colour suits you so well and the style is very nice. I might (but then may never get to it..lol) make a tunic with this pattern. The seaming is vey nice.

It really does have the pregnant look... But the fabric is awesome, and looks even awesomer on you. I even think the fabric looks great with this pattern. It shows off the pleats nicely.

Geri, pregnant look can be stylish too ... with balerinas for example, this dress in its final variant looks so well on you! I added a cotton belt just above the front waist area to "soften" the pregnant look.

hm, Lucia, that might be a good idea. I will take a look at it. I actually don'T bother that much about the pregnant look, it is kind of comfortable...

Hi Geri,

This dress is very cute. It's give to you a "pregnant look" but very elegant!
